ALYSSA FOGLIA
Dancer, Choreographer, & Computer Scientist
BIO
Alyssa Foglia is a dancer from South Florida. Starting her dance career as early as the age of three, her inspiration grows everyday. Alyssa is the president of the UF BFA Dance Department, as well as Showcase Director of UF's Danza. She has trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hiphop, and modern dance. Alyssa has choreographed various group dances and solos for both showcases and competitions. She has graduated from AW Dreyfoos as a dance major in 2020 and is now studying dance as a BFA dance major at the University of Florida. She also has a second major in computer science.
Growing up Alyssa attended multiple competitions, conventions, and intensives. She has been able to travel for dance to London, Toronto, LA, and New York. Her favorite thing is to travel and learn from new choreographers. She has attended the Paul Taylor Intensive, Jose Limon Intensive, as well as the Protege Movement. Alyssa has been fortunate enough to work with a handful of choreographers, such as Darrell Moultrie, Michael Trusnovec, Crystal Edwards, and Elijah Gibson.
